Terms of Service

Last updated 22 June 2026.

These terms govern your use of rthompsonsons.shop and any order you place with RICHARD THOMPSON AND SONS (PLUMBING AND HEATING) LTD("we", "us"). Please read them before buying.

1. About us

RICHARD THOMPSON AND SONS (PLUMBING AND HEATING) LTD is registered in Scotland under company number SC280329, registered office 26a Seatown, Lossiemouth, Scotland, IV31 6JJ. You can reach us at support@rthompsonsons.shop or +44 7585 666788.

2. Products

We sell outdoor and garden watering fittings. We make every effort to describe products and show colours accurately, but slight variation is normal. We do not sell seeds, plants, fertilisers, electric pumps or pressurised equipment.

3. Prices and currency

4. Orders and contract

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract forms when we send an order confirmation. We may decline or cancel an order (for example if an item is out of stock or a price was clearly wrong), in which case we refund you in full.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe (and PayPal where offered). We do not store your card details. Your statement will show "RTHOMPSONSONS".

6. Delivery

See our Shipping Policy for methods, times and costs. Risk passes to you on delivery.

7. Returns and refunds

See our Refund & Return Policy. Your statutory rights are not affected.

8. Safe use

Use products as intended and follow any instructions and safety notes shown on the product page. Hand tools have working edges — keep them away from children. Frost-protection covers and lagging reduce exposure but do not replace properly draining and isolating an outdoor supply before a hard freeze.

9. Acceptable use

Your use of the site is also subject to our Acceptable Use Policy.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence). Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

11. Governing law

These terms and any dispute are governed by the law of Scotland, and subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. If you are a consumer, you may also have rights under the local law of your country of residence.
